I had unprotected sex about 2 weeks ago and within a couple days started noticing burning when urinating, thought maybe yeast but as days went my whole vag and anal area blew up and I also started having viral symptoms. So now 5 days ago I was swabbed positive for Hsv2 . I’m taking 1000mg twice a day valtrex. The sores are slightly better. I have been miserable all week! Sleeping all day and night. Fever on and off. Swollen glands, Nerve pain in my buttocks, legs and feet. Barely wanto eat or drink and of course the misery when I do have to pee or poop is enough to make me cry. I can’t believe how awful this is! I have not been able to work and clean house and barely caring for my teenager and pets. Has anyone else experienced a very bad first outbreak like this? And how long did it last and then what happened afterwards? I’m so scared of the future and starting to wonder if I’ll ever get better! Please help...thank you in advance
My first ob was that bad. I did not take any meds. I suffered through it for about 3 weeks. That was in Aug. 2016 and I have not had another ok. It does get better. May take some time physically and emotionally but it will. I had the same thoughts. I still have my thoughts but Im so much better
