I am 18 and had my first period when I was 13. About 4 months later I had another. These were both very normal and lasted for 4 and 5 days. No PMS beforehand and a medium flow. I haven’t had one since. I’ve been to an endocrinologist and he tested all my levels. All my hormones are normal and so is the ultrasound I had done to check for PCOS and such.
He put me on the “provera challenge” back in January and I had a period with that. It was 4 days and normal flow. However, I haven’t had a period since. He thought it might “shock” my body into having a period, but no.
Anyway, now he wants me to go on the pill and I’m not sure if it’s the right idea. It doesn’t make sense to go on it if my hormones are balanced because why would you put synthetic hormones into your body if nothing bad is happening? Won’t it just mess stuff up more? Are there any natural alternatives to this and is it even necessary to fix?
