Hi
I'm new to this so please bear with me. I had my first smear test on the 4th March. I got my results through the post today saying I had an abnormal smear and I have been referred for an appointment on Monday 23rd for a colposcopy, should I be worried that I have had an appointment made so soon? I am fearing the worst and have a 3 year old little boy and can't help think that I won't be here to watch him grow. What are the chances I have cancer?
Sorry if I seem I'm being dramatic but I'm so scared and worried.

Im sure your be ok, i had a 2 friends like this, all turned out ok. natural to be anxious and your not being dramatic.

I guess it's just natural to fear the worst but I can't help stopping my mind from wondering.
I have been reading other peoples experiences and all seemed ok but can't help from stopping that "someone has to be that one in 1,000 to get it"
