First time SSRI user- Week 4 of Prozac- Questions

Middle aged male and it took me months to get the courage to start meds.

I finally started 20mg of flux capsules 4 weeks ago and I really like where things are going, HOWEVER, two side effects really have me down and i wonder how common they are

  1. Headaches. First few weeks id get sharp headaches, it felt so odd. I still get them just not every day. Its on the right side of my head and i cant explain it. Its like someone is sticking an ice pick in my brain.

  2. Sore throat/acid reflux- I get a sore throat and throat pain in the morning and it gets a little better through the day but its so frustrating. I heard to try the tablets and i did for 1 day and no change. Maybe i didnt get it long enough?

I love how Prozac has helped my panic attacks, given me energy and not dwell as much. I want this to work SOOOO bad. I just hope these side effects subside over the coming days and weeks.

Any encouragement is appreciated. I really think this can be a life changer.

FYI, i take the 20mg TEVA white pills with a blue line. I take it first thing in the morning with a full glass of water.
