:?: this is the first day for me and not had any side affects itake thyroxine 1 50 mg im a little bit worried about taking them as my blood pressure is on the high side wats any 1s advice
Hi Miss X
Your medication for your high blood pressure my opinion should not effect you taking your thyroxine or visa versa as the thyroxine is to help your thyroid function work properly as it is a type of hormone replacement the T4 and TSH and your doctor should have done the checks before prescribing the specific tabs. I take Thyroxine with a number of other tablets for arthritis, However my advice is either read your advice note in your medications or contact NHS Direct if you are worried before surgery hours or alternatively make an appointment with your doctor ASAP with your concerns, or sometimes you can talk to your GP over the phone also before surgery begins too!

Hi there Miss X
Your T4 or TSH level has probably changed hopefully? and this is just a case of increasing or decreasing your thyroxine, this can fluctuate as I have had an underactive thyroid since 1998 and I have this several times in the nine years, I have to have my blood taken every three months to check if my levels are right, recently my thyroid function was going overactive so my medication was reduced from 175mcg to 150mcg.
