Fissure

can a tight pelvic floor and stress be the reason my fissure isnt healing ?

could be caused by pelvic floor dysfunction but that is a more rare cause. this is usually treated by pelvic floor exercises.

most people don’t heal because of a tight sphincter.
a tight sphinc = lack of blood flow = low chance of healing fissure. in this case LIS is needed.

I agree with berternie, Lack of blood flow is usually the culprit for affecting healing to fissures. Prescribed ointment suppose to help with blood flow. it’s not always the case. we have to get surgery to relieve the tightness of the sphincter. Botox suppose to help but usually low results. sphincterotomy would be your best bet if you are unable to have the Kenalog Protocol by Dr. Feingold. I hope you find what best helps heal your AF.

spastic pelvic floor causes more straining ,in turn more fissures or lesions , so yeah it can be one of the reasons but u really want it to be the last reason ur fissure isn’t healing ,coz no immediate treatment is available for pelvic floor dysfunction , it’s a long process , healing takes tym , if only u have tight sphincter muscles then u should go for surgical measures
