At doctor's visit last week, after explaining my symptoms, the doctor thinks I have a fistula. CT scan done, results next week. Anyone else familiar? Thank you,

My cousin had a fistula between bowel and bladder, collapsed and was rushed into immediate surgery, in intensive care for a week, and then in hospital for a further week. He remembered nothing of the first week, just becoming aware during week 2 that he had a stoma and bag. The procedure was reversed 11 months later and he was absolutely fine for 15 years until he passed. Based on that and other posts I’ve read here, I’ve always believed a fistula was an emergency requiring immediate surgery, but I could easily be wrong. Clearly you are not suffering in the same way, so best to wait for the results. Please post them as we can all learn from your results.
