Hi Theresa
my back got very painful after my THR in October after using one crutch. It’s so pain ful it’s affected the muscles surrounding my butt hip and thigh. Been refered for an MIR. We exchange one lot of pain for another! All the best.

I havent had the same op. Teresa…but l empathise with your pain…l am 4 months down the line with femur fracture pinning…was making great progress and 3 weeks ago…screws started backing out and it’s very painful…l do hope that you get relief…its the "not knowing " that l found so hard…makes you feel vulnerable and alone…fingers crossed for you…x

ouch Carol…hope all goes well with you.

Thankyou Lesley…feel quite depressed…did you have that ??? Fighting it hard…

Yes Carol…it’s normal…a big shock to our bodies. Being treated for anxiety and depression at the moment. I got very ill 6 weeks after my op so struggling a bit. Depression should pass shortly otherwise see your doc.

Oh lesley…l am so sorry to hear that , but , you have reassured me its “normal”…having reiki and reflexology and its helping…but it’s hard…thankyou for your reply and be kind to yourself…

Thanks Carol…take care.

Sorry your pain is so bad - that must be really draining.

My scar is tending to dent in, although I think it’s starting to improve now (at 5 weeks). I think that’s due to muscle wastage. Are you doing your exercises (especially the glutes) regularly?

My back sometimes aches - was bad yesterday evening (I’d been sitting too long) - the pain completely went after doing the exercises.

I hope that things improve soon!

Joan

Hi Teri,

Gosh I really feel for you…pain is just so difficult to have to live with all the time. I am still pre op - but also really suffering, as no painkillers at all will work for me.
I am so sorry I cannot give you any advice Teri, but hope it helps in some very small way that you are not alone, we are all out here with you. Sincerely hope you get some relief very soon, and get back to some sort of normality in your life ! take care x

ahh thank you Helen hope you get yours sorted soon I’m just unlucky all my friends are fine with theirs xxx
