Flat Purple like bruises/marks on penis head for 2 years + (balanitis?)

Hi guys,

Ive had these purple marks on my penis glands for 2 years+ now. I used to and still now slightly suffer from tight foreskin but not too much I am sexually active and i am 19 years old. i consulted the doctor about them once and they said it didn't seem to be something to worry about but having looked online i have found a few others with very similar looking conditions which have been classed as balanitis! so i am looking into getting some cream like clotrimazole to clear it, i hate the way it looks! if anyone else thinks they are different or something else or can confirm as balanitis, please let me know asap. thanks guys.image

If these have been present for around 2-plus years now, that would suggest that is not a simple yeast or bacterial infection. I am sure the Doctor would have suggested you tried the Clotrimazole if they thought this was linked to your sexual activity or you had developed a yeast infection yourself.
So, the brown marking is either a long-term infection of some kind that has not cleared, or it is simply pigmentation change that has occurred
The Balanitis you are suggesting is often merely a generic term for symptoms on the head of the Penis such as Redness, Inflammation, soreness, itchiness, or Irritation of the glans. However, " Balanitis " is also used to describe permanent skin disorders of the Foreskin / and/or Glans of the Penis such as Balanitis Xerotica Obliterans - this is unlikely to be what you have.
The only way to get to know exactly what you have is to see a Dermatologist who specialises in genital skin disorders. What you could do if you can go to one of the larger Walk-In Sexual Health Centers is to ask to speak to a duty Dermatologist, or simply get a referral to a Genital Disorders Dermatologist from the Center or from your own Regular Doctor / GP …
