Hey guys!
Recently been to my ENT because of my post nasal drip.. Been prescribed these flixonase steroid drops to apple twice a day..
So I've applied it twice both at night.. And today I've got red bumps/ulcers painful on my tongue and it hurts to swallow.. The back of my throat is red and sore..
Wandered if anyone can relate? Is this the nasal drops??
Hello,I believe that is pretty standard for steroids.
just to let you know it can cause cancer too.
If I were you I would go natural.
Depending on why you have post nasal drip is it due to a polyp?
If so I have the same thing and have noticed a big difference just with inhaling eucalyptus in steaming water daily.
If you do this twice a day this will help a lot I am also going to start taking turmeric for inflamation and get yourself a air purifier.
I run mine for about 4 hours in my bedroom before bedtime or you can run it all night if you can sleep with the sound.
Try these and let me know about your relief.
Hi! Thanks for the reply! Don't tell me that im a health anxiety freak! Lol
I've only taken them twice im going to stop anyway! Did you take them youtself? Just the two occasions won't give me cancer will it?! I Had a camera up there and there were no pollips..
Probably not, just a warning.
I have a polyp and if inhaling eucalyptus is working for me I am positive it will work for you.
There is another option you can try, have you heard of balloon synuplasty?
It helps all kinds of conditions of the nasal region.
maybe there is somthing else blocking your sinusis?
most chiropractors can perform this.
Let me know what happens please.
Probably, you are suffering from a standard reaction of some people to cortico-steroids. Sadly, that means you have to stop taking them - immediately
If the condition does not clear when you stop taking Flixonase, then you have tonsillitis!
Either way, go see your doctor ASAP
If you have a nasal polyp, the only 'cure' is surgery; I am about to undergo sinus surgery for the fourth or fifth time to remove mine. Sadly, it only lasts for a few years.
Are you aspirin sensitive? Nasal polyps are often linked to aspirin sensitivity. If so, then salicylates (a class of compounds of which aspirin is one) will exacebate your condition; try to avoid them in your diet
