Hi there,
Im on fluox for 10 weeks now. My depression is completely cured. I have lowered my dose from 30mg to 20mg. Im still fine.
But I have many nightmares recently. Some caused me to talk and scream, and some caused me to move my hands in the air. My wife was terrified. I revisited my psychiatrist today and she prescribed Trazodone to me.
Have anyone tried Trazodone ?
What's your experience ?

HI Peter.. I was on trazadone for 15 years, and for me it was great med, which helps you to sleep, and it did for me every nite, no nitemares at all, while I was taking it, but it stopped working for me, and came of it, and went on to Prozac, which Iv been on. For the last 5mths, and is working great for my depression, but my sleep is really bad now, and taking sleeping tablets but doc won’t give me them very often, so don’t get any sleep..
So as for ME trazadone is a good sleep tablet, it was given to me for depression, at the time, but wen I came if trazadone my new doc seem to think it was not the best to help depression, just sleep, I wouldn’t of come of trazadone if it still worked for me.. hope helps a bit, but no nitemares when I was taking it..

My first night (last night) with Trazodone was a bit aweful. I am still many dreams. But they werent bad dreams, and they werent good dreams neither. So essentially my brain got little rest while I was sleeping. Today, my anxiety shoot up and I also got muscle ache at my back. Not sure if that was due to Trazodone or the combined effects of Fluox and Trazodone. I think I will go back to clonazepam for my sleep. My brain must be overflooded with serotonin now with taking both fluox and Trazodone. Hope I am not getting the serotonin syndrome . God bless.
