I was on fluoxitine 20mg for 2 weeks and 40mg for 5 weeks... so 7 weeks all up really. However my anxiety is huge...just constantly panicky. I have to look after my son whilst being crazy anxious...which is difficult.
I am thinking that the fluoxitine should be working by now....unless it is having the opposite effect. I am actually wondering if i am more anxious on it.
Are you taking anything else with it? Something for immediate relief
Hi Jaikal Seven weeks is still early days for these meds they take a long time to adjust.Its horrible I know but try to remember that the side effects are only temporary and will go in time. My meds took six months to work and my doctor prescribed a sedative for immediate relief so I could cope with work and family. I'm stills n citalopram but do not need anything else and feel great I'm only here to help others so post any time and someone will help and support you.
Can have valium but just makes me sleepy
