went to physio today and they felt that the "popping" I felt on Friday when trying to go all the way backwards on the bike was actually scar tissue releasing. Still very swollen and stiff which makes it difficult to exercise but they encouraged me not to give up on the exercises (easy for them to say). Bend back to 102 from 116 which is very discouraging but seems typical with the TKR journey......one step forward two backwards. Better days ahead
Very true . . there are days when you really think you are over the worst, and then days that set you back . .If you were breaking down scar tissue on Friday, no doubt that is making the knee more swollen and painful . . but gentle exercise is definitely called for to stop the scar tissue forming again . .It;s not an easy journey is it! Good luck. . .
Yes helen better days ahead. That is how yu have got to think of it right now.
My bend kept going backwards and forwards as well.

Many up days and several down days but we get there in the end.
Hi Helen, I totally understand. 10 plus weeks tkr. Here's a though. How do you bend something when it swollen. Very difficult. Ice ice ice you are doing great. We have all been through a major surgery.it takes time for your body to heal. I to was worried at 7 weeks post with 100 bend. Now I have 115 bend. You will make it . Hang in their good luck.
