Food Anxiety

Hello All! It's been a while since I've posted but I'm back!

I'm currently on vacation at my boyfriend's parents place. It's been fun, but difficult dealing with my eating anxiety. I get so overwhelmed by unfamiliar foods that I panic. So far, I've been coping okay, but I just saw something that really concerned me and now I'm extremely anxious and can't stop thinking about it and I don't want to break down when dinner is served. My boyfriend's mom is making enchiladas and is boiling the chicken first. I saw her toss some Morton ice cream salt into the water with the chicken. This made me panic. I know you're not supposed to eat that. It says "not intended for consumption" right on the website when I looked it up. I'm obsessing over this and really anxious. Is it going to be bad if I eat this??

Dont eat it make a excuse. Say your head hurts lolOr that you are not hungry you already ate something. I'm like that too. Although Im extreme i actually look at the person whos cooking to see if they washed their hands. I wouldnt eat it. Your health comes first. I know it's been two hours. If you did eat it I hope you don't get sick.🙌

Hi I definitely would not eat it. Make an excuse .

Why is she putting this in when it clearly states that it is not for human consumption anyway?

Can you eat out or buy your own food and take it bck? ow long are you proposing to stay there for??????

Hello!

I didn't end up eating it. She doesn't speak English, and she confused the salt for grinder salt. It does look similar, to be fair.  I ended up mentioning it to my boyfriend, who was flabbergasted and told her not to put it in the food.

All's well that ends well!
