I've not seen anyone mention anything to do with diets. But does anyone find hat eating junk food makes anxiety symptoms 10x worse like if u eat sugary foods like chocolate or drinks with it in?

Junk food is very bad! Stay away from all foods with progressed sugar.

Yes! I try to fill up on fruits and veggies and protein and drink lots of water when I’m having a lot of anxiety! It helps a lot. Also stay away from caffeine. I personally like my coffee in the morning and I find it perks me up especially when I’m having anxiety so that’s something I don’t give up. But I never drink pop or anything else caffeinated during the day. I think diet has a lot to do with it!

Caffeine or spicy foods really do me in, not so much sugar, but chocolate sometimes because some chocolate contains caffeine.

This is because, the food is modified food, contains no nutrients. The body doesn't contain enough good bacteria to eliminate the processed chemical food. You are eating, leaving the bodies immune system to see it as a invader, and attacking it. Causing all the  problems to get worse. As for sugar, different bacteria, grown on sugar, and if they over grow, this will also out do good bacteria. Causing more inflammation, and possible other diseases. 

Oh yeah I know what you mean. I it's good hearing everyone's story. Man if I have a coffee it nearly send me over the edge it makes me bad and I love coffee

Isn't it funny. When your having a good day you think. Ohh I might have a cuppa and a biscuit and then u regret it soon after

Some prepared meals purchased in supermarkets can contain additives, they in turn can affect people. Mood changes are possible. We prefer to make up our own meals buying fruit, veg, meat and fish prepared at home.

We eat very little sugar we rely on fruit sugars, with a little bit of chocolate every now and then, refined sugars can also cause some problems I understand. My Wife actually makes all her jams at home. and we rely on fruit from the garden. Aldi is reasonable for fruit if you cannot grow your own. Dried fruits purchased from shops like Holland and Barratt are reasonable for dried fruits. for your cereal in the morning. We eat a great deal of dried fruit. We start this year drying our own to cut down the cost

Thanks for the reply Bob. Yeah I know what you are saying and I cook a lot of healthy foods and generally do have a healthy life style but like this morning for instance I ate a large bowel of cocopops massive sugar content and 20 minutes after that I could literally feel my heart pounding and that starts of my anxiety after that it's a vicious circle right.

Yes the sugar will boost and rise mood.

Fresh or dried fruit on a basic cereal can help, people buy Bran Flakes then smother it in sugar, a banana is better for you chopped up on top of yor cereal with give all the sugar you ill need. Give it a try
