Hi Joan
im sorry to hear of your injury. I'm 6 mos post op so may not be of help I'm unable to walk unaided just started with FWB this month working up to crutches and walker their wise wheelchair. I was diagnosed with RSD/CRYPS which left my foot not able to fully move to start walking. I did do research on YouTube in foot drop to get some info in treatment. Are you able to walk? Are you in pain? I'm in compounded cream with gabbapentin and ketamine which gives me relief to do my rehab. I also do mirror therapy to teach my football on do heel/ toe liftoff. I hope you get some help soon....take good care 👣
Thank you for your reply - I have been trying the heal/ toe technique that you suggested, and have found it to be most helpful.
hi Jannie - thank you for your reply. I was very interested in your suggestions and have, in fact, been using, and finding most helpful, the mirror therapy ! I am still not able to walk unaided, and it has been 15 months post fracture, I am really sorry to hear that you to are having a difficult time, and hope you will recover quickly. I am finding the whole process completely exhausting, as whatever you try to do, takes so much effort. Take care, and speedy recovery.
