Foot problems

I had a tkr 13mth ago and know been told ive got nerve damage from my knee to my foot and i now have peripheral neruopathy (a burning sensation when i stand for more that 5 minutes)just wondered if any one else suffers this due to the same op?

I have nerve damage from the surgery and have no feeling yet in my inside ankle.  They told me it may come back or not.  (They weren't sure if it was neuropathy or not) I think it is gradually, as I will get an "electric shock" feeling going down my leg occasionally and am getting some of the feeling back.  I hope so!  Wish I knew all this beforehand, but am walking better than I did. I had both knees totally replaced within 2 months and the  last one was November 2nd (9 months ago).  It's good to see others are going through the same thing.

Hi Janice - I feel for you . I have a neuroma in the ball of my foot which developed following surgery. It feels as though I have a stone or  rock in my shoe and walking is now odd. It is such a shame as the TKR at nearly a year is going really well. I am told I will need another surgery to remove it which I am not at all keen on.

All the best,

Jenni.
