Hi. Does anyone know if it's possible to get an ulcer on the top of the foot and what may be the case of this please? Is there a way I can prevent it happening?
Yes,it is possible . You dont give much information, but does this person have poor circulation, and/or is overweight, and /or have diabetes, and /or doesnt move around much? All factors to be taken into account.
An ulcer or sore that refuses to heal on top of the foot could also be the start of something more serious.
Anything that refuses to heal should be taken seriously and a doctors opinion sought.
I'm sure you would know if this is just a case of something rubbing, like a shoe.
Thank you for your reply Marina. I have Raynauds and am quite inactive due to a severe back problem. I got my first uncler about 2 years ago and I fear I might get another one. The doctors were never clear with me why I got one 2 years ago.
If you have Raynauds and are quite inactive then the blood flow to your feet especially is not so good. You must see a doctor ASAP about this ulcer...you need proper treatment.
