For all hippies desperate to have a bath again

Desperate for a bath a couple of weeks ago I decided to give it a go. End result was having to take painkillers again as I pulled a muscle in my back!

Now use a bathing cushion and it is magic. It is about 18 inches square and I put it in the bath inflated to be on a level with the top of the bath. It forms a solid seat to sit on and then having swung my legs into the bath it deflates so I go right down to the bottom. When finished it inflates again so I can get out. So happy :-)

Off for another one now

Take care everyone

Awesome!!!! Where do I get one? I do much want to take a bath, but I read your post a while back about what happened to you and decided not to take the chance. wink

If I knew how to post a piccie of it I would. Just search online for mangar bathing cushion. They are not cheap but work really well providing you have good upper body strength so you can sit upright whilst it inflates. If upper body strength not good and you need a seat that is hard with a supportive back then have a look at orca bath lifts. Both are excellent and I sell loads of them....which is how I can afford to have one :-)

Take care

Thank you, Kate, I will look into it. MANGAR is the brand name?

Yes. They sell online I think or you can call the company. Should be about £499 from the manufacturer but you might find a cheaper one somewhere online

Had to laugh when I read this post. I haven't had a bath since I was about 6 years old. Most people in Australia have showers, don't know if it is a climate thing, nothing like a lovely shower to cool off after a hot day, anyway enjoy your bath, I'm heading for a lovely long hot shower.

Baths are lovely - and funny how some of us like Gillian are not into them (literally!). Is it a Brit thing? Do shower mostly but a weekly bath is bliss.

I waited 6 weeks for a bath, longer than some and less than others. I've fairly good upper arm strength - as Kate said this is important. So, while a blow up cushion seemed expensive and not neccesary if you're sporty, then reading this post I wish now  I'd used a camping blow up cushion to sit on for first few times ....like £9.99 from Milletts!

Enjoy your day, envy the heat in Oz as UK gets cold and dark!
