Hi all,
TLDR - see my questions at the bottom of this post.
This will be quite long as I think the context is important, and I have attached images as I think it is not easy to explain in words.
Essentially, when I was about 18 I was diagnosed with phimosis, and at that time the inability to retract it was so bad, my GP immediately offered a circumcision. I did not want this, and to be honest, the whole idea completely freaked me out so I declined it - and went down the route of trying pretty much everything else although I never used the cream.
Anyway, skip a few years later (I'm 22 now), and I went to see my GP again - this time with a foreskin that was far more retractable than ever before. Having examined it himself, he was very impressed with my progress and said I should not need a circumcision now. His advice now essentially was "try it out [have sex], see what happens, and if you have any problems, come back and we'll see what we can do". And at that time, I could get it almost all the way back but not completely back past the head. He told me to try and get it past the head as this is important etc. And as long as I am not feeling any pain, I should try and do this.
However, I have run into a series of new problems. I have a longer than average foreskin which means it sort of hangs over the tip by quite a bit. It is also sufficiently long to cover beyond the tip even when erect, almost like a nozzle on the end. This means the opening is narrow and hence has been difficult to retract. I started retracting a lot more to try and get it behind the head - which to be honest - I am very scared to do in case it gets stuck. But during this process, I got about about 75% down my head and as my foreskin rolled back up I noticed it was starting to roll over itself. For the most part, I was able to fix this. But I have noticed that while my foreskin still more than covers the tip of my penis, it is around 5% shorter than it was prior to retracting. And this is because I have noticed the what I think is the opening of my foreskin has sort of rolled underneath the main part of it, almost as if it is inside out, and I cannot seem to get it back out from underneath to on top, as the opening, where it should be.
My GP has looked at this and gave me the impression if I kept trying etc. it would eventually go back into position. Well, admittedly I have not tried very hard or in a very disciplined way, but we're well over six months later and I still cannot get it back in position. My understanding is, I should retract the foreskin, and then try and grab the opening from underneath and pull it back up. This is very difficult for me because a) my head is very sensistive, b) that part of the foreskin seems very thin so is hard to grab and c) it seems to be pretty sticky / dry against the glans so is really difficult to get it to move. Really - I want some advice on the best way to approach this and get the opening back from underneath the foreskin to its initial position.
Ironically, since I had this issue with the opening being sort of rolled underneath the foreskin, my foreskin has actually been far easier to retract as it is slightly shorter and the opening is wider - but I am assuming I need to work towards getting the actual opening tucked underneath back to its initial position and work with that.
So I have attached some pictures. In all these pictures, my foreskin appears about 5-10% shorter than it was before since some of it appears to be tucked underneath. This really confused my GP initially because he said it looked normal and I really had to explain to him that for me, it was normally longer than this. My GP also had a go at trying to pull the opening back out from where it has rolled underneath my main foreskin but was unsuccessful.
Anyway, all pictures are of it flaccid. Three pictures show my penis on a normal day to day basis where I have not really touched it. One picture shows my penis head after retracting it. Another picture shows my frenulum.
Finally, two pictures show me retracting the foreskin - and hopefully you can see the bit I am talking about, where it seems to be sort of rolled under / stuck underneath the main foreskin. This is the bit I want to pull back up, rather than leave it tucked underneath, as I believe it is the opening and the missing 5% in length of my foreskin. So essentially, when it goes back up, the foreskin just goes up over the top of that bit of skin.
Appreciate my glans also look kind of red / greyish. My GP looked at this and also said it was "in the normal range" and that this was due to a tight foreskin / not being exposed enough etc.
So my four questions are this:
1. What is the best way / best technique to try and get the opening of my foreskin that seems to be tucked underneath, how can I get this back to its position? Is there a special technique for this other than trying to grab it and pull it back up from the inside out? Would it be easier to try and do it when the penis is erect?
2. My GP thinks my frenulum may be too short, is it actually too short?
3. I'm absolutely terrified of having sex in case something goes wrong (still a virgin) - would I be able to have sex even with the opening of the foreskin sort of rolled underneath and the frenulum pictured above? And does it matter if I have not quite yet been able to retract it behind the head because of this problem? Masturbating is completely fine / painless / pleasurable and always has been, even before I started retracting. I wouldn't have even known there was an issue unless someone told me we were suppose to retract it.
4. Is having the opening of the foreskin sort of rolled underneath the main foreskin like this a major issue? Could it lead to problems in future if I cannot get it fixed or back in position? Like I say, it has been like this for the best part of half a year and I've not had any issues but I am concerned I need to get this sorted. Also, I am aware I need to trim!
Thanks for reading and any help!
