Found out IT'S GALLSTONES

I Have been suffering with Bad Pain  since April 2006 I went to the doctors, I thought it was indigestion, unfortunatly I shared this info with my dr. and he agreed, so I was put on omperzole, fair enough it did work but soon as I finished the course it came back, go back to dr. get more pills this went on for about 6months, wasn't unitl someone said to me you need to ask for a blood test for a bacteria which is in the stomach(YES i HAD TO ASK FOR A BLOOD TEST) came back negative I was fine, dr. gave me more  tablets, no further test offered. Ended up in A & E they told me to asked my dr. for endoscopy(YES ASK FOR ONE) well had that done on 2nd may 07 nothing wrong with my stomach, this dr. thought possible gallstones, wait for ultra sound 12 week waiting list- ended up in hospital with Jaudice, Had gallstone stuck in bile duct, had ERCP and having my gallbladder taken out hopefully 13th Aug if there's a bed for me. I hope anyone with the same problem gets sorted quickley because the pain is unbearable .:D

Hi there sorry to hear you've been suffering, I went for my pre op this week and they explain the op, I' hopefullywill be having key hole, op takes 1hr to 1 1/2hrs, will go into hospital on Monday, op on the Tuesday home on Wednesday, if everthing is ok, off work min of 2weeks to 4weeks depends on the type of job you do. If I end having Open Surgery recovery time is longer I think is 5-7 day in hospital and off work for 8 weeks. Pain relief until then, my doctor gave me Co-codamol prescibed 50/500 make me a bit dizzy, very strong but if you get the pain mainly at night doesn't matter cause you r trying to sleep, these will help. Try to eat as much low fat meals as possible I have now started to avoid eggs and prawns unitl I've had my op, but I sick to death thinking that everthing I eat is going to give me Hellish  pain. Well I'll let you know how the op goes hopefully going in on the 13.8.07 if there is a bed for me. Hope I'ved helped. :P

Hi

I was diagnosed with multiple gallstones but was reluctant to have my gall bladder removed. Instead I started taking a herbal remedy called Quebra Pedra (Stone Breaker) three times a day and haven't had any symptoms for 6 months or more.
