Sorry to ask, but have you and your wife been sexually active together in the last three weeks? Similarly apologies, but does your wife use contraception?
Also knowing this may be helpful: you say you have a Urologist, do you have ongoing issues, or previous penile or genital health issues that you are currently / previously being treated for, other than the current prostatitis?
Additionally, you were given an antibiotic for the prostatitis: have you you taken / completed the full course of tablets you were given? Were you directed to take plenty of water, and if so, have you been drinking additional water regularly? …
hello
yes please to sexual activity in the last 3 weeks
no please to contraceptions
previous treatment was for possible yeast due to skin peeling on penis shaft 3 years ago
yes is was given bactrim at first but i had an allergic reaction to it after 11days of tighten throat, more frequent urination and itching . i was then given cipro for the next 4 weeks . admittedly in the last week i didnt drink much fluids at all and passed urine only 2-3times daily. i have taken the full course. i have only started back drinking 2-3lts daily since i saw the lesion in my penis opening. GP did STI blood work today so i have to wait for the results.
thankyou for your response.
peeling skin still happens especially when im stressed so you can imagine how it is right now. i am now experiencing slight sore dull ache in the penis head off and on
Okay, it is good that you have had contact with the GP to help sort this latest issue out.
Can you detail where you get the peeling skin: do you mean on the head of your penis as you show in the photo? Elsewhere on your penis, in your genital region, or elsewhere on you body AS WELL?
on the shaft of the penis and few times on the head of the penis
have you seen spots like this before and what could they possibly be?
Before getting to the issue of the spots - and, I take it you are meaning on the shaft and head of your penis? there are two other issues to clarify:
i.) the photo shown in your original Forum post suggests you may have a very tight foreskin. Are you able to expose your entire head (glans) of your penis?
ii.) the issue of whether you have dry skin, or actual skin conditions elsewhere on your body is important to understand - so do you have dry skin in other areas of your body, or perhaps skin conditions such as psoriasis or eczema?
So again, just to clarify for myself, you have gone from talking about "peeling skin to “spots” - I am presuming you are talking about the same thing?
If you do NOT have dry peeling skin or other skin conditions elsewhere on your body the most common cause of dry skin on the penis is due to the impact of cleansing agents used on the body such as ALL soaps, shower gels, hair shampoos and so on.
If you consider it in this manner: you would not use washing up liquid to clean any part of your body, but once any part of your body develops an intolerance to ordinary soaps, shower gel, and so on the impact is the same.
Therefore you need to wash your penis with water only. When taking a shower you need to thoroughly rinse-off all the cleansing agents you have used elsewhere on your body from your ENTIRE groin region, then once you are out of the shower you need to pay particular attention to ensure your penis and scrotum (ball sack) are completely dry.
To overcome the dry skin and to help restore the natural balance your skin of you penis should have you need to find a natural plant extract oil, lotion or gel that suits your skin best.
Shops such as Savers or Superdrug have things as Aloe Vera Gel or liquid Coconut Oil at very reasonable prices and these have natural skin healing properties that combat dry skin. (NOTE: if you do have skin conditions such as psoriasis or eczema elsewhere on your body you may need to be guided by a Dermatologist as to what you can put on dry skin that you have on your penis. Otherwise, try a very small amount on 1 area of dry skin on your penis to see whether you get an adverse reaction!).
So, try either the gel or the oil for around 3 to 5 weeks - then you can swap to trying the other, then stick with the one that suits your skin the best …

Hi, I have run out of anything else to add to what I have already stated above. You need to sort this out with the Medical Professionals you have already had contact with is all I can suggest …
Hi,
