a few months ago I had fracture of surgical neck of the humerus,
likely partial biceps rupture, only had X-ray scans so far, somewhat scare me, decided to skip three of them,
I'm supposed to start with the physiotherapy,
I'd really like to know if everything is well enough before trying to exercise anything,
should I take MRI or ultrasound ?
if ultrasound, should it be color, power,.. ultrasound ?
Thank You
Hi ttt1; what is it that scares you off from having your ultrasounds....is it the ultrasound or fearing the results? I can assure you that having an ultrasound is far more easy than a MRI (which I can only have with some IV sedation), and if you do need same, which is very likely if you have Ruptured your biceps, ensure you ask for the sedation. If you have missed 3 ultrasounds, how can your physio/drs tell you what damage has been done, and therefore neither they/us can advise re starting the physio treatment....no-one will really be able to advise/give the correct treatment. Have the ultrasound, first, and then MAKE sure you go back for the results, and go from there. Take that first step, you really need to know, and let us know how you go from there....Bron
I forwent three X-ray scans, not ultrasound.
I'm ok with ultrasounds, just wondering if MRI might provide more / more accurate data.
Hello ttt1; yes a MRI is definately for definitive....it "dissects" each cell, basically, on an horizontal picture...but as I said previously, ask for some IV sedation....they are very claustopobic....I didn't know what claustophobia was until I "tried' to have my first one...had to go back, with a driver, and then had the IV sedation, and had the whole procedure done, and have had same for every one since.....Bron
