So its 2 days since I've dis this I just did it not realizing the seriousness in it until after then I go ogled it and it has since them terrified me into thinking I'm going to die I went to the dr and asked but she didn't act or seem to worry about it or talk about it very long like it was just nothing but then I've read all this stuff online and they make it a huge deal I really don't want to die I'm 19 and I know the Naegleria fowleri forms when it's warm and I live in Tennessee and there's snow on the ground right now but still it makes me worry should I be worried I haven't heard of any cases in Tennessee but still I'm really worried and counting day by day and I convince myself I have it by constant worrying like if I think I have a headache I get a headache and just so on and so on should I be worried

Hi Ashley, I've just googled using well water in a netti pot. (I've never heard of this before! Maybe because I'm from the UK)
I can understand you must be feeling very anxious after reading things online! Remember you always hear the bad situations of everything online!
I do hope your feeling OK, perhaps you could visit your Dr again for further reassurance?!
I'm sure if the Dr was worried, you would of been offered emergency medical assistance asap.

Thanks for your concern I just went to the dr yesterday the incident happend Thursday so I don't know if it's been 3 days or 2 I don't know if counting Thursday counts but the dr just told me next time use boiling water and in my mind I was like what if there isn't a next time and I was like if I survive this I'll never use it again but she just didn't really seem like it was an issue she said it usually occurs in warm month's like the summer but still hasn't satisfied my mind I feel fine until I think about it I mean it was faucet water we just have well water instead of city water and I told my boyfriend about it and he just keeps saying I'm fine or will be but here I am
Bless you-i would be the same in your situation. My grandma in Texas uses it for sinus problems? I'm guessing that's why you use it too?
I'd keep real busy to take your mind of it! Easier said than done hey.
If it happened on Thursday, I'd personally count Friday as day 1.

Yea I used it because is was stuffed up and couldn't breathe when I went to the dr she just gave me some pills for my sinus but that was it I wish I never googled anything now because if I knew nothing about it I'd probably be fine but then again who knows I just know it's torture waiting around thinking but if the dr isn't worried maybe I shouldn't be either but trying to get that through my doesn't click
Sounds horrible you poor thing. Sinus can be so painful! Hope that's got better for you.
I google everything! I freak myself out often when I try new medication + read about the side effects... As the days go on hopefully you will feel more relaxed. Xxx
