I am now 5 weeks citalopram free! As of two weeks ago I have experienced the following
Pain/numbness in legs
Pain in right arm
Pain in my upper ribs between the breastbone
Waking up trying to catch my breath
Trouble falling asleep(thinking the worst is going to happen)
Has anyone else experienced this? Is this normal and due to coming off citalopram. I am massively freaking out and my BPM has reached 147 so far and it’s not even 8am.
Nicky, muscle pains, parathesia which includes numbness, joint pains are completely normal unfortunately. Anxiety will add to your symptoms which will not help your bp. To put your mind at rest my parathesia is on my right side I have it right now. Take four slow deep breaths hold for four seconds then release in four seconds that will help your anxiety and bp. Speak to your doctor for peace of mind.
It's a within the norm of any ssri..if it gets any worst ask your doctor for a benzo..that will give you relief..
