So a little over 2 months ago I had unprotected sex with a woman I didn't know very well. Around 2 and 1/2 weeks later I started getting an itchy feeling in the tip of my penis. I also had burning while urinating and random burning sensation in the tip of my penis. I went and got tested for all stds a month after having sex (including hsv 1 and 2) tested negative for swab and blood test. Went to urologist and said I had NGU probably form some type of bacteria. Got prescribed minoxcycline which started to ease the symptoms. Last week( 2 months after sex) I started getting a dull tingly feeling in my groin and penis. Now I still have burning while peeing and soreness in my pubic region. Throughout all of this, I have had no sores or ulcer of any kind. I went and got another blood test done and am waiting on the results. Does this sound like it could be herpes? Or am I just freaking myself out? Sorry for the lengthy post, I've been having very bad anxiety about this over the past couple months.
No, it doesn't, plus the fact that non-herpes meds previously helped. Probably still the same NGU, if anything. Not always the easiest to get rid of.
