freaky about side effects

hello all,  new to the forum today,  I have the med in liquid form and instructed to start at a very very low dose (less than 5ml),  I could not tolerate the side efffects of many other antidepressants and I swore off alltogether, until now, being paralized with depression symptoms,  I have panic disorder and take  klonopin for that but I think that anticipating the worse is a  major problem,

I have rapid heart problem (tachacardia) and i read not to take this drug if yo have heart disease,  I don't know what to do,

I will appreciate anyone saying anything about their experience with side effects,  I have read much on this site about benefits but hardly anything about side effects.  please help!

Hey there... I'm not familiar with tachycardia, but you should talk to your doc who prescribed the meds, to make sure it's safe to take it.

Once you've done that, there will be some side effects, so you need to be prepared. But everyone is different, you may or may not experience side effects. If you do, we are here for you! We've all dealt with them here! We can help you through them!

Best of luck

Many drugs drs given by dr r for our health. Not always knowing if a patient will have any side effects.  Most dr know their patients history. Allergies. Common side effects that r common in patients with certain medical histories.

Everyone reacts differently to drugs & there r many side effects of drugs even OTC meds.

if u experience any side effects listed on the pamphlet when u receive UR meds call UR dr immediately and stop taking them.

Regarding the contra indications with your other medications, only your doctor can advise on that.  If they are the ones who have prescribed your prev meds, they will have your drug history and will know if its safe or not.   Re side effects - fretting about what they are and when they will hit you will only increase your anxiety.  Like others have said, not everyone gets side effects and most who do find them manageable and short lived and worth it for the benefits long term.  Best thing is speak to your GP then sit back and forget side effects until and unless you actually experience any - you may find you dont get any/many and then you're a winner.

This drug is not too bad if you stick to 1/2 a tablet, that is what i do every other day,  it makes you speed up,  good at math,  but it makes me forget things as well. People at work thought i was a bit hyper on it and it makes me very sensitive for some reason.  I lost my mother 3 years ago and when i take this medication i become overly emotional at times,

Im not sure what to do either, friend trauma flair,  i had my 1/2 thyroid out and ever since then i have problems with depression,  i was never depressed before that.  I have been taking remeron, that is better and calms you down while warding off depression,  you may want to try that.  Or come find me on Facebook under Deborah Dunn and my prayer group is "Prayer group for grief support and prayer warriors."  request to join and i will admit you.

thanks  Debbie

Doctors aren't god,  patients need to decide for themselves about their side effects and tell the doctor to see if he can change it.  They don't take it so they may not understand,  but remeron may be better for trauma.

Trauma I will be working on my Ph.D next fall and what drugs have you tried??? Have you tried remeron or Paxil??  Zoloft??? is mild but the best one for the nerves is remeron,  is relaxes you take at bedtime and i feel pretty good the next day and able to work as well.  I memorized my lines as well which is awesome on citalopram i was very forgetful.
