Where are you? If you are in the UK, there are a number of possible avenues that your pharmacy ought to be able to tell you about.

  • If you are on some benefits, a child or a pensioner, you don’t have to pay.
  • If you have certain chronic illnesses (Addisons might be one) then there is an exemption card. (see above).
  • If you have to have a lot of [pre]scrip[tions] in a year, you can buy a “season ticket” so you don’t have to pay a scrip charge for every scrip.

sorry only just seen your reply, yes an exemption card is something you get of your doctor and show in your pharmacy, but your doctor or pharmacy should be able to tell you more and different ways to cover your hydrocortisone
