Hi. You have had a lot of work done with having 6 goes done. I had one hammertoe done won side both bunions. My toe has quite often had a lack of feeling and has sometimes felt numb and cold at various times. It has also felt like it has an elastic band around it at other times. Very strange. Massaging it has helped to bring back feeling. The odd feelings seem to be getting a bit less frequent so I am assuming that this is not that unusual.
I have also found that my toe is not yet settled and is according to the internet what is called a 'floating toe'. Have been massaging across the scarring and from underneath to try to stretch it out. Not sure of the impact yet. Will keep going and go to see the consultant again in April.
Good luck. Hope that this has been of some help

Oh Marie,
You are so brave to have both feet done. I could only do one at a time. I will be 2 weeks post op on Thursday and I'm still not weight bearing on that foot. I have no advice but I will pray for you and for your recovery. Hang in there. I've found the people on this blog to be so kind and encouraging.
I'm 8 weeks post-op and everything healing nicely. It's only this week, though, that I have been able to walk fairly normally, but I still have to elevate my foot regularly. Also I found that my foot felt absolutely freezing at times, but when I actually touched my toes, they were warm! Very weird, but I think it was part of the healing process and the nerves regenerating. This only stopped a couple of weeks ago. I think if your toes actually feel cold you might need to see your doctor as it might be a circulatory problem.
I found two pairs of socks and a cosy fleece wrapped around my feet when elevating them helped.
