For 10 months, I have been dealing with LS. The whole time penetrative sex hurt and I avoided it. Masturbation wasn't a problem - until this past weekend. I may have been more vigorous than usual or not but the shaft, which was "normal" colored (for a scarred circumcised penis) got fiery red and angry looking. It has not improved in 6 days despite clob and vaseline.
Any moisture on it BURNS so much I want to scream. I don't know if it is friction burn or the LS? Would it flare over so widely so soon?
Just as I managed the glans, this happens. I am hoping it is a friction burn that will go away but if my skin is this frail, I don't know what all they babying and clob and injections in the world are going to do - and I am only 10 months into this lifetime sentence. I want to cry. :(
JJ, try a sitz bath or baking soda. It may give you some relief. Some people also use Borax.

you know this damn LS is really quite personal. I commend you for showing pictures. I dont know that I could at this moment. An outbreak for me results in the outer skin on the labia totally peeling off and the perineum being open. it is extremely painful.
Your question about masturbation I think depends. if I am too vigorous there is a chance of the skin tearing,

JJ, I have never seen anything like this. You have a severe reaction situation going on, rather than ‘simply’ being put down to you having LS!
If you are using Clobetasol or an alternative to that now, in my experience you should strictly avoid applying anything else!!! Simply, anything you apply will other that the steroidal application will aggravate the skin and even undo the potential benefits of the Clobetasol or whatever else it is you are using as a replacement. Just to be sure, nothing else = Zero
However, what I would say is that you have currently gone past that point of explaining what you have now - unless something that you are applying is giving the most severe reaction possible!!!
I forget which specialists you are dealing with, my suggestion would be that it is essential for you to be dealing with someone that has a Dermatological training and is fully familiar with how skin reacts to different things applied to it - in addition to this, the specialist should also have practical knowledge of dealing with severe genital skin issues, and in particular, LS and LP . …
