Frightened to breakdown please help- rash

Ok bit embarrassing and shameful but freaking out and need advice.

About 5 weeks ago I went on a staff night out, getting really drunk in the process. In order to sober myself up a bit I took a walk and was approached by a sex worker. Stupidly I took her up on her offer and had unprotected oral sex. About 10 seconds into it I realised what I was doing and stopped proceedings. The lady then bit me and rubbed her lips over a cut I had on my thumb.

After a major issue with guilt I told my partner what happened and all was ok, she forgave me and all went back to normal. Three weeks later I woke up with an angry rash on the palms of both my hands and the soles of my feet. Panicking I went to the GUM clinic and got tested. All negative, although I was told to come back two weeks later to be tested again (which I have done and am awaiting results).

About a week ago The hand rash went away and the foot rash went down but then it’s had spread pretty much everywhere else over my body. Other than this I have had no other symptoms. The rash goes down a lot with anti histamines but doesn’t go away. My partner says it is likely a stress rash, as it keeps spreading the more stressed I get whilst I am waiting for my results. I have spoken to doctors on the phone, HIV charity helplines and all of them say the chance of me contracting HIV from these circumstances  are minimal. I have also been told it is a higher possibility for Syphilis but many opinions centre around stress based Hives.

Can anyone give any advice please as I am terrified

Thanks

Have  you looked up shingles as a possibility. It could be stress related but more likely to be a skin infection.

Thanks for your reply.

In the last couple of weeks I got my 28 day test results back and again they came back negative. The health worker who gave these results said that whilst this isn’t conclusive it is a very good sign that I am not infected with a blood bourne virus.

I was told to have a six week test (which I have had and awaiting results) and then a 12 week test to confirm negative status.

In the last two weeks I have taken anti histamines that have made the rash subside, although it hasn’t gone away totally.

In the last few days I have been experiencing kidney, chest and stomach pain along with some fatigue and extreme thirst, urinating a lot.

I am at the doctors on Friday to consult.
