Is it just me or do others after THR last year get some pain in fluctuating weather conditions? When we had a really hot summer I had some pain in my thigh when walking. Now its bitterly cold and the pain has returned
I suppose it makes sense that a metal inplant still getting used to the body will react to different temperatures?
I think you’ll find that the body’s internal temperature is fairly constant, whatever the weather.
hi there*
I’m relieved to hear you also have aches and pains in your new hip when weather conditions fluctuate. I had my hip in august and have been totally pain free until last week! it is now quite painful by the evening, and I’m trying to convince myself it is all down to walking too much.
hard to pinpoint why exactly, but I will persevere for now. hopefully it will get better with time!
good luck with yours!
PAT
Thanks Pat
It is strange - the weather temperatures went up slightly and it seemed to help. I think it takes a while as well for all the nerves and muscles to get used to the replacement. Good luck
