So Consultant says I need further manipulation under anaesthetic - not shocked really its what I expected........ Says it does sometimes happen and its nothing I have or haven't done (I can actually feel it freezing up again - its like that advert for frozen pipes with the ice spreading). On a more positive note he did examine my other shoulder (I keep getting pains running down my arm & am petrified that its going the same way) but phew he said it was ok at the mo, but he would keep his eye on it lol......big relief
Surgery booked for the 20th April - now just gotta stay away from folks with coughs & colds.
I just can't wait to be able to drive & tie my hair up lol.
The pain has eased so much now I can't wait for this second surgery!
Onwards and upwards...........there is light at the end of this very long tunnel
Happy, painfree Easter my fellow Frozen friends, muuch love Linda xxx
I had exactly the same as you Linda. Keyhole in October, then mua in February. It took that long to review then add to the list etc. I've not looked back since. He said they may have to do full keyhole if the mua didn't work, but thankfully it did. I was sling free on day 2 and down to paracetamol. movement didn't return immediately as the muscles were severely wasted. Lots of physio at the hosp and at home and m practically pain free and sleeping like a baby!
Good luck with yours too. It's not anywhere near as bad as the arthroscopic keyhole op. You wake up in a sling and feel bashed up, but it eases and then it's a matter of physio for the final hurdle of recovery. I still ache now because the from muscle is very weak. We have to stretch it, which hurts, but I can raise my arm fully once the physio works her magic.
Awwww Ali that is so good to hear I know you have commented on this before but its just so great to know someone else has been through exactly the same I really can't wait now lol........
Arthroscopic op was a bit sore but you put up with anything don't you in a bid to get well and rid of that vile FS pain!
Glad u are getting mobile and the mua worked. Its nice to know there is light, eventually, at the end of the tunnel. X. Just need to know which bridge to take to get to the tunnel! Lol x
