I have had the frozen shoulder, 2 cortisone shots, and 3 x week PT since mid August, and the shoulder still is frozen cant move anymore then when I first started.... How long do you wait to have surgery for them to manipulate it? We are going on 5 months with PT 3 x day and 2 shot.. nothing... Please let me know other experience.
Currently in physical therapy two times a week. I also use a pulley system stretch my shoulder. My recommendation or suggestion is that you should have a home program to follow. My physical therapist always says stretch stretch stretch that is the only way to get relief from full frozen shoulder.

I've had a frozen shoulder since April! Had 2 Cortisone injections, which have stopped the spasms! My arm and shoulder is as stiff as a plank! I'm being referred the specialist Physios now and going to have a scan! It's no joke living like this everyday!
Mine started in February and still about 50 percent movement. My daughter said surgery is last resort.
The Cortisone shot didn’t do anything, PT didn’t help one bit… I’ve been freezing since April. And I finally had MUA 16 days ago.
You can’t do the MUA until you are done freezing… the only way to know is one day, it will be locked tight, but it won’t hurt during the day unless you smack it or have a jerk reaction to something. Time is different for everyone… it’s been 8 months for me.
After MUA, your PT visits will be in full swing, all day, every day… at home, and through the night… and in a ton more pain (if you can imagine that)… you will not be able to do PT unless you take a very strong pain pill. I have yet to be able to stretch without one.

Am now on 14weeks post op, PT couldn't get me out the door quick enough to carry on with excersice on my own. Am using a pulley 2x daily but it not helping am still showing some stiffness. Unable to get my reach back now am showing signs off other Shoulder freeze struggle with everyday life. Been off work since June 2017. Constant pain seening consultant 15th Dec .
Thanks everyone for all the posts it helps! December 15 is the day I return to my surgeon.. if PT hasn’t in frozen thenshoulder he wi I. Surgery! Living like this is crazy! The simple things in life we have all taken for granted!!! 😩
Well PT has 2 weeks then I’m back seeing surgeon and he said if it was still the same after pt and shot..then he would minipulate during surgery!
Good luck! My Physio mentioned manipulation to myself too!
