I've been going Tru a rough time since November last year....I've been to several doctors they all tell me it's anxiety....I did 5 ECGs n a chest x-ray n they were ok....I went to this one doctor who panicked me out real bad after he told me that I'm likely to have a heart condition becos anxiety n panic disorder can't cause your heart to race.....I was so worried after he told me this....tonight I wasn't feeling too good n I went to the doctor... happen I see this same doctor....started telling me that I have a heart condition cos my heart was beating fast.....rite now I'm in so much fear I'm even afraid to go home.....I really don't know what to do....after doing 5 ECGs wouldn't one pick up something is not right....I'm so frustrated n confused
Hi Kerian, you don’t have a heart condition as anxiety disorder absolutely does make your heart race. I’m very surprised to hear of a doctor who says it doesn’t! I myself have extreme anxiety right now and my heart rate is constantly racing, as your body releases adrenaline that activates when we are in fear of something. Do not see this doctor again!
Hi. I am very surprized by doctors observation. Anxiety can increase heart rate. A racing heart doesnt mean a heart problem. And a clear ekg and chest xray mean you DO NOT have a heart problem. Relax and stay happy
Wen I just lost my dad this same doctor panic me out by telling me that anxiety can't cause mtly heart to race n I might have an enlarged heart...I got so scared my heart started to beat even faster...I went n get a chest x-ray done n it was fine.....now he's telling me that I have a heart condition...after doing 5 ECGs...
