Ok so as people may know I'm quite socially anxious, I'm on the train currently on to a big city about an hour away from me and I Had no choice to go because it's important I've left my comfort zone I hate the thought I won't be at home for hours does anyone have any advice on what I can do to relax. Just hate sitting on the train looking out the window thinking I'm going further and further away from home x

Also had a bad night sleep only had 4 hours so that doesn't help I just look at other people and feel jealous they are able to get on trains and go places to work and it doesn't bother them. I'm with my dad so I'm not alone x

Salut Katie

Yes I am and I can't because there's a random man sitting with us on the train so it's awkward hha! I might feel better for it when I'm home that I went to a big city and I actually did it.. I just want to feel normal again but then again I know I will in time. I can get better and believe me I will it's just a matter of getting there and building up the confidence and motivation to do so xx

Vous pouvez le faire, restez fort eek

Let us know how you did. Hopefully this story will help you. I was only working from home when my anxiety started. This continued for 1 1/2 years until my job started requiring me to be put in people's offices 3 of 5 days per week. It was awful at first, driving away from home ( I had that same awful feeling of getting further away). All of the offices are about 1 1/2 hours away from home out in small towns. It was hard at first, then it became no problem and my anxiety says rated going away! Basically, being forced to do it, helped take away most of my anxiety!!! Put yourself in the position of MAKING yourself do it, over and over and over and you will do well too. I never will forget the time that I actually decided to go to one extra office, on my own, just for the fun of it. I knew I was on the road to recovery at that point. Basically, it turns out, being cooped up in my home as my safe place, was making my anxiety worse! I didn't know that until I changed that! Please let me know how you turn out on this day and going forward. Hugs to you!!!

Thanks so much for your story and I'm glad it made you feel better :D the train journey there wasn't easy if I'm honest when I'm there I felt OK but I did what I needed to do then me and my dad went for some food and on the train back I felt fine! I'm just at home now but I feel like I can't relax and I should be out doing more but I'm so tired

We don't can courage over fear until we feel the fear and do it anyways!

Good for you on doing so! Hope your comment encourages others!
