Functional Dyspepsia OR Gastritis OR Post-Covid Syndrome ??? Please help.

Hi everyone. I had coronavirus diagnosed on the 5th of March 2021. A week later I started having stomach issues (discomfort, no pain, bloating). I also threw up a few times. I had a gastroscopy at the end of March - Hiatus hernia but no gastritis. They told me it's probably functional dyspepsia. It was getting progressively worse each day. I had a gastroscopy again at the end of April - this time they saw mild gastritis. Now, one and a half months later, I have a burning sensation in my stomach, huge problem with bloating, IBS symptoms (pain in mid and lower belly, without diarrhea or constipation) and my primary doctor told me this is probably the result of Covid, that I have post-covid syndrome that is showing up in my stomach and gut. Now I am not sure if I have functional dyspepsia or gastritis or post-covid. Should I pay for another gastroscopy now?? I am progressively worse each day and I feel so bad right now. Is there anything I can take for this pain?

did you take a lot of painkillers when you had covid? that can cause inflammation of stomach, which is called gastritis. I think you just need to go on a proton pump inhibitor like omeprazole and you should be fine. talk to your doctor about this. feel better soon

Thank you for your answer.
No, I didn’t take any painkillers during covid. I am taking dexilant for a month now (thats also PPI) but it’s not better at all.
