about three weeks ago I posted here that as aresult of a blood test showing higher levels of paraprotein, my Dr was questioning Myeloma, quite a scary diagnosis. I had to have X-rays and tests at the haematology dept. I have had the tests and the results show that I have osteoarthritis in my lower back, worn discs and a misaligned spine probably due to my hypermobility syndrome, the haematology tests show a lower level of paraprotein coupled with the lack of other indicators mean it is not Myeloma - phew! However, they will test regularly every six months!
instead today I received the pressure point test. Every one of the points was painful! Tomorrow I will have blood tests for rheumatoid and autoimmune diseases to rule them out as the Dr is now sure I have Fibro. She will refer me to rheumatoid.
i would really like to thank all of you who gave me support here and helped me remain positive! I can't tell you what a relief it is not to have to hide something from my children. Whilst I am still in pain and suffering all kinds of other symptoms, I am soooooo relieved it isn't Myeloma. I also know that on my very bad days you will help me through, so thank you so much! Sending everyone gentle butterfly hugs and wishing you all a peaceful and as pain free a night as possible.
Oh that's brilliant news! So relieved for you. Now at least you can concentrate on other things, and didn't have to worry your children, although it must have seemed like you were waiting forever not knowing. Bless you. Good luck with your final diagnosis. And yes we are always here for you. xx
What excellent news for you PiliPala, Fibro is also an autoimmune syndrome...you must be just sooo relieved..the worrying must have been horrific for you...it's just horrid-the worry and stress of not knowing..which of course adds to the pain...I'm very happy for for you PiliPala! Have a really lovely day..a god bless you..:-) xxx
Thank you Christine, I am very relieved. Yesterday was my birthday and the news was the best present. I am in pain, but I am not so worried so it all 'feels' less stressful. Gentle hugs to you xx
Know exactly what you mean PiliPala, the less stress the less pain..happy birthday for yesterday..wow!! What a great present..I was tested for a brain tumor a few years ago...it wasn't..thank God..but the waiting and worrying was just terrible, even though..like you..still in pain..it was a real celebration...:-) xxx
