fusing....can we reverse this?!?

Have any of you come up with a solution to prevent and reverse fusing? I am particularly concerned about the clitoris area! It is fusing up really quickly! I never noticed it until 6 months ago. Can this be reversed? I know Dr. Goldstein can do an operation to do that, but I don't think that is in my future.

Thank You!!!!

well i'm new here too.

my symptoms began with stenosis....and some fusing. i've quit gluten grains and dairy for less than a week now and the tissue is loosening  the itch has stopped and the fusing has separated.

i'm going to keep up with bicarb douches and applying coconut oil. hope this helps.

I have the same issue and put Advantan fatty ointment on that area every night to keep it at bay. You have to be vigilant in keeping up the cream/ointment where there is fusing or white patches. I am lucky I have a special clinic I attend at Mercy Hospital for women in Melbourne.

Yes you can reverse it. Keep it lubed up, keep using the steroid cream and look at you diet. I've had fusing recently but it is receding gradually . Also bicarbonate of soda is good to keep the inflamation down.

Have the same problem. Doctors are unwilling to do any surgery. I too have wondered about gluten and milk products. Thanks.

You will know the clitoris is the female equivilent of the male penis and the "hood" could be thought of as the foreskin- when lubed up as so succinctly stated try pulling back the "foreskin" so that the prepuce is evident - It is less uncomfortable in a warm bath - i dont know how long it lasts but I have been doing this since Christmas when I was fusing faster than my overloaded house electrics!

I also keep the area well treated withthe clobetasol and Diprobase - my prescribed moisturiser- so fingers crossed for all of us....

Well, I have been using baking soda baths and rinses and then apply coconut oil richly.  Twice a week glob for maintenance.  Plus dilating every morning.  Diligently keeping this up.  My clitoris reappeared almost entirely.

Next to that I eat gluten free.  No alcohol, no caffeine.  No sugar.  No cheese, (this really triggers my LS)  Try to avoid stress.  (not always possible)

In October last year I was totally fused up, no more vagina, no more clitoris, pinhole left through which the urine had to flow, drip by drip.  Took three quarters of an hour to empty my bladder at that time.  After dilation procedure at the hospital at least I could urinate again.  (Note -no cutting!)  Gradually the rest of the fusing let go with the above mentioned treatment.

I've been spraying my area with witch hazel to keep me healed...and when I added 99% pure aloe vera gel I've noticed a great improvement in this area. It took about six weeks to have a noticeable improvement...but the skin in this area has gone smooth and healthy looking and appears nearly normal now and much of the lost sensitivity has returned. Hopefully this will work for you too.

I think I will try that. I've already got the 99.9per cent aloe Vera xx

THank you for all the responses. I have tried the coconut oil and the bicarbonate of soda. Both seem to be helping with the pain and uncomfortable feeling. I haven't notice a change in fusing, but it is early. I imagine this will take time.  I am going to try the aloe too. If I don't get some results and relief soon, I am going to have to change my diet too.

I have to say this fusing really happened fast. All looked fine in September, but now it is entirely changed! I guess I should have been keeping a closer eye on it.

My fusing happened fast as well.  Almost overnight.

Hello...I am seeing more than one reference to fusing happening overnight and that is adding to the already stressful worrying that goes with this condition...I would like to ask is there any sort of sign that fusing is about to occur? Are there any clues that a change is imminent? Now I worry that I will go to bed fine and wake up totally fused together. Is that the way it will be?

No Patricia that will not happen. You keep the ointment up to the spots where there are white patches. You need to be vigilant to avoid or control fusing. It is usually gradual and happens when an area is accidentally missed. Keep your appointments with whoever is helping you manage your LS and you will keep on top of it.

Thank you so much for the reassurance. I already feel as if I think about the condition of my bottom way too much. This LS is not something that slips out of my mind ever ... it just does not go away. Every bathroom visit is a reminder and every twinge or itch is a reminder! Btw...April 3 my husband and I arrived home around 10 pm to find about a dozen huge fire trucks on the street in front of our house...my husband's work shop was burned to the ground and the entire side of our house close to that was burned...roof gone...all inside destroyed. We have been living in a motel room ever since until we can move in to temp house for several real months at least. Can anyone say "stress"???

I meant to say for several months...I am typing on my tablet since even our computer may be damaged by smoke acid. Sigh. However all 10 of our indoor cats are OK except for traumatized nerves....

Wow  Patricia you are having a tough time. I think that fusing is the last thing to worry about- However do keep up with the ointments and moisturisers and what ever else you find helps. 10 cats now THAT is a lot of cats!! i am pleased they are all OK. You must be heart broken- but if no one was injured That is A Good Thing

Do you know what caused the fire? Can you recover any of your possessions?

My heart go out to you

Take care

Sue

Hello and good morning....I am surprisingly calm, especially in view of the enormalty...is that a word?....of the situation. About half our possessions are gone or ruined. Not only were there a dozen firefighters all over the house but most of the roof was destroyed and it was pouring rain in a severe thunder storm. And I am one of those who makes people remove shoes be entering my house! 😨 the fire inspector can't be positive but workshop may have been struck by lightening. One of our daughters is keeping all 10 cats until we can keep them back with us. I had an art studio with many many jars of paints brushes jars of medium etc etc and that makes me so sad that my different paintings etc are ruined. But I suppose I have to let it go. Now about LS...I will be careful to keep under control. My diet has been horrible as we are in a motel room 11 days now and only eating carry out etc. Oh and chocolate. 😞

I think you mustn't be too calm....go and go sometime away from people and yell your head off....

the enormity is huge and how dreadfully unlucky to be hit with lightening...perhaps it is time to go and buy a lottery ticket...?

you are amazingly brave

where are you?the thunderstorm doesn't sound as if it is in the UK

that was supposed to be somewhere not some time!

so sorry to hear of your fire.

thinking of you x
