My husband has had fybromyalgia for years - he is on pentacazine, amytripline and another table for epilepsy that supposed to suppress the nerves - but he is still in pain - anyone any ideas???
Hi Florence,
I find gentle exercise every day helps. I know when I have been lazy and not done them as the pain seems worse.
I think its more of a fact that we just have to learn to deal and live with it which is very hard.
All the best to your hubby.
Lizzy
Hi Florence
I agree with what Lizzy says. I find if I don't do my exercises in the mornng my pain is worse. I have to force myself to do them some mornings as it is painful when the pain is already there. We all seem to be different with our levels of pains and what makes it worse. I wish i had a magic wand that would take away all our pain and never come back.
All we can do is take it day to day and just keep trying different things to overcome the pain. I hope your hubby has a good doctor who takes him seriously. That makes a lot of difference to how you feel in yourself but doesn't take the pain away unless the dr can come up with miracle cure to help.

hello there,, i am new to this forum ,, but read your thread and thought i would put my 2 penneth in,,lol
i have just been prescribed with a newish drug called duoloxetine,, it is being used in USA for fibro and seems to be working for some.
the drugs that are used for epilepsy and used as pain meds tend to put a lot of weight on ,, which can make things worse,, i stopped mine on my own as i was taking them for a pain in the neck,, after i stopped i lost 4 stone!!!!!.
thought maybe you should know.
