Iv been going through terrible anixtey please tell me there light at the end of the tunnel
yes, you can learn to manage your anxiety . One thing you don't want to do is get more anxious over the anxiety. That will cause the brain to send out adrenaline and you'll feel worse.
i've had GAD for many years so I definitely know how you're feeling.
something that has really helped me in millions of other people is practicing what is called mindfulness. It is practicing being in the "moment" which keep your mind focused. There is a very popular book called mindfulness you can find online or at the bookstore. It's a white book with a ball of string on the cover. It shows you how to get back your piece of mind and how to not let anxiety or negative thinking control you. They're also mindful meditations found on YouTube for anxiety, depression, sleep, just about anything you want. They calm down my mind and body and my symptoms will diminish or go away.
It's important to know proper breathing technique when anxiety or panic begins. YouTube has a meditation on that also. It's also taught in the mindfulness book.
There are also classes that are taught on mindfulness all throughout the world. They can be a little expensive.
exercise helps relieve my anxiety as well as socializing and being active.
I also got some counseling for this which was very helpful too. Feel better
Hi Tina, There is light. I think anxiety is like some cancers in that we can feel better, or go into remission, but then it can come back throughout our lives. I am sorry you are suffering now. Get help as soon as possible. The longer you wait, the harder it is to treat. Go see your family doctor. He or she can make suggestions to get you on the path to recovery.
It does get better with time, as you become more stronger with everyday. A was a mess a got to point a couldn't leave my house. A was crying everyday had all sorts of physical symptoms.. although am not 100 percent yet am a lot better. A never thought I'd get better because of how bad a was but like a say you get stronger.. with right support.. taking good care of yourself too and not giving yourself a hard time as anxiety is a terrible illness and it just takes time to heal from it. You will get there
