I got my gallbladder removed near 3 wks ago and I have been in such pain swole tummy burning feeling across my wound an stabbing pains in my right shoulder is this normal
Many people suffer pain in the shoulder area post op as a result of residual gas left behind after the abdomen was inflated with gas during the op. I did not suffer from this but I suspect that after 3 weeks that should have settled. With regard to the pain, swelling and burning sensation it could be due to a wound infection. I am not in anyway medically qualified, but those are some of the symptoms of infection. I recommend that you go to see your doctor as soon as possible to rule this out.
Do also remember that your body has a lot of healing to do. What you can see if the first to heal and there is a lot more healing going on internally. If you are concerned about anything, always follow your gut instinct and get yourself checked out.
