Could u give me any ideas on food I can eat, obvs low fat I no that but such as,had op and be told nothing!

Hi you are still healing. Its going to take a few months to get back to feeling better. What pain meds are you on. Maybe you need something stronger. You've had a major surgery. So just take it easy no bending or lifting ok. Take care. Good Luck.

Thank you, could u give me an idea on what I can u give me any tips on a diet plan?

Meds I'm on are Zapain 30mg/500mg cords in ephod phage/paracetamol

Codeine I meant sorry!

Codiene phosphate/paracetamol got there in the end!

Yes main meat is chicken baked or grilled. Salads with lite oil. Non spicy foods. They sell deli meats 98 percent fat free. All fruits except citrus. Low fat yougart is good. There are so many choices you will become a vegetarian. Stay away from steaks pizza and fried

Foods. So don't worry you will be fine ok. Friend. Bye.

Oxycodone 500 mg 325 mg. This helped me a lot. I was on Norco but no good pain relief. Then they put me on oxy a life saver. Good Luck

I'm 4th day post op. I was told that I could return to a normal diet but could have diahorrea for up too a week post op. I've not had any,in fact I've been a bit bunged up.

I had a small jacket potato last night with butter and no side effects!

My consultant signed me off work for 2 weeks so that's the minimum time you're body needs to heal before resuming daily tasks. Don't forget you have stitches inside as well. Everyone is different but listen to what your body tells you and you will be ok.

Hope things improve for you.

Oh god was not aware of stitches inside also as I say I was told nothing at all, been back to a and e today and she reminded me I've had major surgery,I've had bigger ops so thought I'd be fine .... Clearly takes longer to recuperate then I first thought

I know what you mean. I've had major surgery before so thought this would be a breeze. I'm day 5 now and the main discomfort is from my belly button area. I have stabbing pains where the GB was if I stretch, bend, twist or walk a bit too far,but that's to be expected..I can now lie down on my side at night with a pillow under my stomach to support it. I'm down to a couple of paracetamol during the day and a codeine before bed to help me sleep.

As I mentioned before, I've had no diahorrea but maybe the codeine is helping ☺

Everyone is different so there is no set recovery process. With every bad experience shared on here, there are many more positive ones.

The stabbing pains hurt.my belly button also sore still but as my belly bar was too tight I couldn't remove so the surgeon had to cut it out during surgery. I've just had a little walk out but it really took it out of me plus took forever.its a bigger op then most think
