hello everyone!
so here is my story, this began at the end of last year! i stared having alot of pain on my right upper side by the ribs, with nauseous and diarrhea My primary Dr. refer me to my GI run every test in the book and everything came back normal. so my GI refer me to my OBGYN because she felt that it was more of endrometrosis (which was the first time i ever heard of it) so my OBGYN explain to me what it was and he had to do a laparascopy to confirm. well gets what it came back negative and i continue with my episodes specially after i ate!!! my Primary doctor believed that it was my gallbladder so they sent me to the a HIDA scan EF 98% "WHICH IS NORMAL"i was not happy because i thought i was going to find out what was so bad in my body! SO finally he refer me to a surgeon and when i stared describing my systoms and what i had suffer for almost 10 month!! so i went to him today and he will be removing my gallbladder he stated that i have and overactive gallbladder and that has been all my er visist and scan and million things doctora did ginally figure out what it was!!!
i hope this helps everyone else dont give up if you believe somthing is wrong!

Thanks for the post and great you’ve found the problem.
The Dr who told 98% on a HIDA scan is normal has alot to answer for as most people who do their research and many here know that’s NOT normal.
In the UK it’s very hard to get a HIDA. Many here have had pain and suffering for years and get nowhere until their condition becomes acute.
3.42am here in the UK and i’m in pain and feel i’ll. No point in me seeking help as i jyst get ignored and made to feel like it’s all in my head👎

Hi Karen79724, Well I hope all goes well with extraction, an overactive GB I assume will be expelling Bile when not needed but that is a guess. But your very right I have got to wait until Jan 2019 after having CT and UltraSound finding sludge in Gall Bladder etc etc. I been suffering for some years but I believe now that it could well be my Liver or Pancreas as well which is not well? For some reason I am having Sugar issues now and I was able to prove this just recently by eating sweets.
It does seem people have to suffer before anyone will take notice, I have been researching this subject on the internet and controlling the symptoms via diet, I am at long last though having proper stool???
Thank you for your post and wish you well soon.
Hey sorry to hear you are having all this suffering, i have seen in people in the UK that have actually found a surgeon that removed the gallbladder. Make sure you go to another surgeon, also make sure when you go to the doctors office do your own research and take your research to them.
I hope this helps.!!
Hey,
Are you in the US?? again do your own research which is something that help me when going to the doctors office. yeah i have loose stool and nauseous!
Your story is so similar to mine! I have been through every test I can imagine and they have all been “normal.” They actually suggested I have my IUD removed by my OBGYN because they thought that was causing the issue. My doctor never told me my EF so I finally asked for a copy and found that mine is 93% and it does make you feel so ill when you eat! I will be seeing a new doctor in 2 days to get a second opinion and I hope he is in agreement with my research that 93% is very overactive and will remove my gallbladder.
Hi No I am in the UK yes done a fair bit of research and to be honest I am serious thinking about doing the Liver & Gall Bladder flush. My problem with this is I take daily meds so I cant go 6 days without them. We shall see.
Hi Karen,
Thanks, It’s not as easy as just seeing another surgeon over here. I’ve had pain in my shoulder blades for exactly 2 years now, right rib pain right stomach pain and a constant dull ache for 22 months, nausea 24/7 for 20 months, severe bloating, dark urine and light coloured stools for 19 months and i’ve now been severely dizzy 24/7 for 15 months.
I also lost 8 stone between January and July 2017 but still wasn’t taken seriously.
I spoke to my GP again on Thursday and he asked if i would like to be referred to psychiatrist! Unbelievable! I could of thrown him out the window.
Good luck with everything Karen👍
Hi Matt, I fully sympathize my friend, my Diet has got me through until now and I have found out, that Sugar is also a part of the problem, so I have Gall Bladder and Pancreatitis or Liver issues as well, so now I have to be aware of this as well and as I told you I am getting by on Chinese Chicken Chow Mein even though noodles is higher in fat. There is some very good info on YouTube about Gall Bladder and effects after removal and it is not all plain sailing afterwards as you will see many making posts in here. Once the Gall Bladder is removed the Liver just continually drips bile down into the Intestine which can cause diarrhea and which is why many have to take Anti Acid medication afterwards. If I was not in my position I would be very reluctant now about having mine out! Problem is as this guy says, a Dr just wants to prescribe tablets and a Surgeon just wants to use a knife? And it seems to be very true statement, however I am just grateful I have found my roots in diet are giving me relief until I get back to Hospital in Jan. There is no way I want to be as sick as I was in Dec last year, I am continually losing weight but it is a steady loss I am about 3 stone loss which actually is a good thing.
Your weight loss is crazy and your Dr should be rushing you into Hospital but I know how you feel, mine told me “not to starve myself”!! As if I wanted to eat so little???
If it was not for me finding a food I could eat I would just be on Porridge and Rice. But I have now found a few other foods like Potato which is a God send as this has helped, in not having Diarrhea
anymore. But I do have to say its boring eating the same foods every day.
