Gallbladder problems?

Hey y'all. I'm a 34 year old fat female. šŸ˜†šŸ˜†(it's the truth)

About 2 weeks ago, I started having severe upper right abdominal pain. Very tender to the touch. Also, felt like someone stabbing my side and back, pain between my shoulder blades.

Couldn't eat alot of food without pain, especially eggs, the bad stuff, etc. This went on for a week and a half.

My dr did a few tests, referred me to have an ultrasound-which was clear. She wants to send me to have a HIDA scan and refer me to a surgeon.

The tenderness my where my gallbladder is has eased mostly. But yesterday my ribs on both sides were so tender I could hardly touch them.

Although the pain has gone away some, I'm now having the stabbing pains on my left side too.

Is this normal? And does this really sound like gallbladder to y'all?

I appreciate any comments. (Unless you're rude šŸ˜†&#128518

Hi! Do you have any changes to your stool? Floating, yellow, etc? Any bloating? Dizzy? I have the same symptoms as you plus the above ones I listed. A low fat to almost zero fat diet has minimum side effects for me and keeps the pain at bay. I had CAT scan wirh contrast, ultrasound, and HIDA (results 97% ejection fraction). I see GI in ten days I’m so excited! I hope you feel better soon, mine also appeared out of the blue. Am 37, fair skinned, fertile (they say, female fat fair fertile and 40, right? I got most of them lol)

Hi Mindy. About the stools-maybe a smidge lighter, no floaters. but I'm having problems going. I'm so bloated right now it hurts to wear pants.

Was your ultrasound clear? I worry the HIDA won't show anything either and I'll be stuck worrying what the heck is going on..

I hope your GI visit goes well. šŸ˜€šŸ˜€
