Hello! I’m 24 haven’t seen a doctor yet will be seeing one tomorrow!! So excited! Has anyone who has their gallbladder experience constant burping or and bloated? I’ve been doing a lot of reseresch and I feel this might be the best indication. Ive lost at least 10pounds and feel malnourished is this a good indication of a bad gallbladder? Thank you
Of course me bloating and burping every day. But I also got diagnosed with gastritis. Did you rule out gastritis by endoscopy?
No, I haven’t they are going to do an endoscopy as a last resort unfortunately. They are doing the basic blood tests that everyone I imagine has to do to rule out all the minor stuff. And also being tested for h. Pylori and ruling out hiatal hernia. Sadly it’s day 1 of this long and daunting diagnosis. Thank you for replying I’ll be updating as more information comes.
Hi I’m Laura and I joined this group to maybe get help or give answers to someone who needs them. My problems started in nov when I thought I pulled an abdominal muscle on my right side, I went through multiple tests, ct, mri that showed no hernia or tear. As I continued to have what felt like a Charlie horse in my right side I started to have problems eating, belching,bloating and flatulence that would not reside. I then got and endoscopy which showed a pretty large ulcer with a lot of reflux and thinning of my stomach lining and started treatment with twice a day nexium and other meds for months.As more time went on I knew there was something else wrong as my sxs continued and was being blown off by my gastro I insisted on more testing which my denied by my ins, my mri stilled showed normal with a remarkable gall bladder but a dialated bile duct. With an appeal out I final got the proper testing which was a hida scan that showed my ejection fraction was at 5 percent which meant my gall bladder was not functioning so I was scheduled for emergency gall bladder removal and Iam 9 days in revovery and still can’t eat much of anything without severe bloating and gas!! Very frustrating for sure, I have had improvement with the pulling in right side and my back and shoulder pain have gone away but Iam still learning how to eat or find that one food I can eat without feeling like my stomach is going to explode. I hope some of this has helped you.
Update: In the process of a stool test being done. Hopefully those results will come with good news(knowing what I have) then no news at all. Not saying this will work for everyone but what worked for me finally was 40mg of omprazole to finally stop my burping it was very severe no otc ppi was working as I do believe but I could be wrong their is only 20mg omeprazole O.TC. As always listen to the advice of your doctor they know best. Just food for thought.
Iam on nexium twice a day and famotidine once daily also to treat the ulcer I have. I do believe this is causing my bloating, gas and belching.
Blood work, hital hernia and h pyroli tests are waste of time. Endoscopy, ultrasound and hida scan is what needed for the problem..the sooner it's completed, sooner can start on the treatment.
That is exactly what I had, endoscopy, ultrasound and hida scan, yes be is a waste of time as mine was all normal
Update: My wife now has the same symptoms as me so I feel as though this forum is no longer relevant. It is surely a stomach problem but now that my wife is suffering the same exact symptoms unless two people of who are 24 and 27 both suffer from gall bladder problems who were healthy adults I find that unlikely. I feel in my own opinion it is h pylori unfortunately when I went to do the test I did not produce enough specimen but now I have so waiting on those results. It could be ulcers it could be other things. Though I find my symptoms no longer relevant in this forum.
Yes!! I would have a foul , rotten egg burp!! So gross!
