Gallbladder removal

Hi I had my gb removed 12 days ago and I can honestly say it’s life changing don’t get me wrong my gallbladder was the worst one my surgeon has ever seen I’m 27 and it was only working at 7% so it’s made a huge difference to me I was in a size 14 clothes 18 months ago I’m now in a size 6 when it’s removed do you gain weight or loose it again and when did you all have your first bath I can’t wait to have a bath I don’t have a shower so I stink 😂🙈 I didn’t think keyhole surgery would be this painful but oh god it’s been horrendous and I’ve been so sore my top stitch is really sore still thank you xx

Hi lady, my key hole surgery was very painful as well about six weeks for me. Had to wash w husband bringing me pails of water in bed. But my weight hasn't changed because I was able to eat, just know that anything fried or fatty is gonna cause some running. So stick to low fat and baked. Your weight loss already is a good thing and you should not experience any weight gain unless you start overeating. It's been 3 months now and I must say only the incision in the upper middle is still slightly sore. But you should be just fine. Keep eye out for any swelling redness or pus indicating infection. Blessings to you little lady.

Hi Danielle, I was very sore as well, my god I couldn't move for days, my weight stayed the same , kinda wish I had lost some. And I also had the top suture really sore, I kept a clean bandage on every second day, I was afraid it would become infected. Istill have pain off and on , they staple you inside with a titanium clip, I swear I feel that digging in me sometimes. I couldn't have a bath until my stitches fell out.

Omg I never knew that that’s why it hurts so much that area it’s 2 weeks today I’m back to my normal self but still really sore the middle stitch but will because of that clip i was 12 stone 18 months ago I now weight 8 stone 6!! It’s shocking how much weight I’ve lost don’t get me wrong it’s changed my life so much!! X
