Gallbladder stones

I was diagnosed with gallbladder stones in January and was hospitalised for about 10 days undergoing treatment through a course of antibiotics.  After admission I haven't felt any pain again.  does this mean the stones are gone or do i need further treatment?

Hi Clar80784, I wouldn't necessarily say the stones are gone completely. My first attacks happened over a year ago, then it hit harder. I'd still proceed with caution.

Honestly  Probably not, the stones are still there, it's difficult to say whether you'll need further treatment, you could be pain free for the rest of your life or next week you could be in agony again

Very low fat (and healthy) is the way to go

I had gallstones for roughly 15 years having an attack roughly once a year. I had a 4 year break when I stopped eating fat, caffeine, meat and spicy food. But they removed my gallbladder in march I had 12 to 15 marble sized stones with hardly any room for bile in the gall bladder. I feel great now. But still have to eat low fat although I can eat fat now without side effects. I want to protect my liver don't want a fatty liver now cos my gall bladder has gone. So if you had lots of stones they would of removed your gallbladder. Right now just eat low fat and hang onto it . If it flares up get ourself scanned and monitor it. And key hole surgery is safe and when you are at the point of needing it removed they will remove it. You may not ever get to that point ...
