I am new to the forum so please be gentle with me.
I am waiting to have my gallbladder removed, but after reading about the symptoms of a gallbladder attack mine seems different. :?
I experience an almost constant burning pain in my right side, it goes right round my back too, it's agony when it starts, though it never completely goes.
Does anyone else have the same type of pain? I am wondering if it is my gallbladder thats causing the pain or something else..
Completely agree best thing I ever did as well getting rid of the old gallbladder have not looked back since. I never experienced a burning pain just pain as if someone had stuck a knife in you, everbody's different though - good luck for the op :D
while there are often lists of classic symptoms for any medical problems, we are all individual and many people with the same condition find their symptoms fit into the classic catogories. my pain was not classic - as my liver function got worse it disapeared - leaving the hospital dr's in doubt of my gp's diagnosis - i was told that gallstones were the best case scenario but not the most likely diagnosis - luckily the ultra sound was very clear that i had gallstones and with approriate treatment i my liver function improved.
try not to worry. and i hope you get some news of your op soon.
