Gallbladder-type pain, but no gallbladder

Hi all!

I had my gallbladder removed in the Spring of 2012, which resolved the upper right quadrant pain I had been experiencing for some time. A few nights ago I began to have the same symptoms that I used to experience, namely a severe sharp, stabbing pain in my upper right back/shoulder area. This is accompanied by extreme belching, which provides relief for about 5-10 seconds and then the pain comes right back.

I was told in late 2010 that I had a diseased gallbladder, but had no gallstones. They were going to remove it, but found that I had a large hole in my heart (primum atrial septal defect), so the gallbladder removal was put on hold until I could have heart surgery to correct my congenital defect. I found out I was pregnant 6 months after my heart surgery and almost immediately started having difficulty with my gallbladder during the pregnancy. They didn't want to remove the gallbladder during my pregnancy, so they waited until about 7 weeks after our daughter was born. With my second and third pregnancies I developed Cholestasis of pregnancy. When our 3rd daughter was 4 months-old I had some testing that came back "abnormal," with Bilirubin Urine, POC at 1mg/dl and Urobilinogen Urine, POC at 1mg/dl. I spoke with my provider at the time and I was told it was "perfectly normal." despite my history of Cholestasis. At this point, with the symptoms I am experiencing, I am concerned that there may be something going on with my liver. I have an appointment with a doctor tomorrow at 11 am, but this pain is literally preventing me from functioning normally daily and I'm afraid I'll just told told - again - that everything is "normal."

Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? Is this all related like I think it may be? Any help is greatly appreciated.
